‘Wildfire Goddess’
Finishing up some unfinished work.

This is a homage to the BC wildfires. I poured my smouldering emotions into this painting as the world burned around me.

Devastation brought us together and rekindled my faith in humanity. We came together as a community and sheltered our wayward neighbours. They are our extended family, and would gladly do the same for us.

This phoenix was born before the fires were out and will grow strong and proud in the years to come. She is my faith that we will rise from the ashes, purified, stronger and healthier.

2017 was full of fear and hate, but was countered by love and hope. We are tired of being angry.
2018 we build bridges!
